Terms of Use

Last updated: 15 May 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Shiplist (https://shiplist.eu), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Shiplist is a project tracking software-as-a-service (SaaS) that allows individuals and small teams to manage projects as structured checklists with progress tracking. The service is provided as described at https://shiplist.eu.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted.
  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. If you are under 16, you may not use Shiplist.

4. Plans and Features

Shiplist is offered on two plans:

  • Free plan — 1 project, public visibility only, up to 5 groups per project, unlimited tasks.
  • Pro plan — unlimited projects, private project visibility, unlimited groups, file uploads, and unlimited team members.

Plan limits are enforced automatically. If you downgrade from Pro to Free, projects beyond the 1-project limit and any private projects will be archived (read-only). Your data is preserved and can be reactivated by upgrading.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Shiplist to:

  • Engage in or facilitate illegal activity of any kind.
  • Upload, store, or share content that is illegal under applicable EU or member state law.
  • Send spam or unsolicited communications to other users.
  • Scrape, crawl, or perform automated data collection on the service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service.
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent plan limits or access controls.
  • Impersonate another individual, organisation, or Shiplist itself.
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.

5a. Illegal Content and DSA Compliance

Shiplist is a hosting service under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). Illegal content is strictly prohibited on the platform. Examples include content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, child sexual abuse material, content inciting hatred or violence, and content used to facilitate fraud or phishing.

If you encounter illegal content on Shiplist, you may report it by emailing legal@shiplist.eu with the subject line "DSA Illegal Content Report". Your report must include the URL or location of the content, the reason you believe it is illegal, and your name. For full details on our reporting process, statements of reasons, and your right to appeal, see our DSA Compliance page.

When Shiplist removes content or restricts access to an account in response to a report or its own detection, the affected user will be notified by email with a statement of reasons explaining the action taken and how to contest it.

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create on Shiplist — including project names, task descriptions, group names, and any files you upload.

By using the service, you grant Shiplist a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content for advertising or any other purpose.

Public projects and public user profiles are visible to anyone with the link. You are responsible for ensuring that publicly shared content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

7. Intellectual Property

The Shiplist product, including its branding, user interface, code, and design, is owned by the operator of https://shiplist.eu. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works of any part of the service without express written permission.

8. Payment Terms

Billing for Shiplist Pro is handled by Creem, who acts as the merchant of record for all subscriptions. For billing terms, refund policies, and subscription management, refer to Creem's Terms of Service.

Prices displayed on Shiplist are exclusive of VAT. The applicable VAT rate is calculated at checkout based on your country of residence.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Use, engage in activity that harms the service or other users, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page. Upon deletion, your personal data and all project content are permanently removed from our systems as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. No uptime guarantee is provided on the Free plan.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shiplist and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the service — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of business — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia and applicable European Union law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Slovenia.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes before they take effect. Continued use of Shiplist after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
